It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I submit my application for the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. With a strong academic foundation, I received the 2025 Teaching Excellence Award for embodying a passion for fostering critical inquiry,

I earned my Doctorate in Education, Psychology, and Technology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021, and I have additional postgraduate training in Applied Behavior Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.

I currently serve as an Adjunct Psychology Professor at The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and Baltimore City Community College. Throughout my academic career, I have prioritized intellectual enthusiasm, critical thinking, and the effective integration of research, creativity, and technology into the learning experience. These values were recently recognized with the 2025 Teaching Excellence Award from the UDC College of Arts and Sciences—an honor that affirmed my dedication to encouraging intellectual excitement and fostering meaningful academic engagement in the classroom.

My passion for psychology extends beyond teaching. I actively participate in professional development, holding certifications as a Human Rights Educator and CBT and RBT Practitioner, and have completed online coursework in Data Science Methodology through IBM/Coursera. I also take pride in supporting student-led events such as the Psychology Majors Meeting, Psi Chi Panel Discussion, and Senior Thesis Presentations—demonstrating my commitment to mentoring and empowering students outside the classroom as well.

My teaching philosophy centers on cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and ethically grounded academic environment. My doctoral research focused on multiculturalism and counselor-client alliances, a reflection of my commitment to respectful dialogue. I am also focused on maintaining competence in educational technology and psychological pedagogy, in alignment with my professional development goals.
