Topics include foundational theories, research methods, human development, learning, cognition, personality, psychological disorders, and therapeutic approaches. The course is entirely asynchronous, with weekly learning modules and due dates.---# **Course Format*** **Delivery:** 100% asynchronous (no live meetings)* **Modules open:** Wednesday at 12:01 AM* **Weekly deadlines:** Tuesday at 11:59 PM* **Platform:** Canvas---# **Learning Objectives (CLOs)**By the end of this course, students will be able to:1. Explain foundational psychological theories and their historical significance.2. Apply the scientific method to psychological research questions.3. Demonstrate appropriate use of APA format and ethical research principles.4. Describe developmental concepts including Erikson’s stages and maladaptive schemas.5. Differentiate between classical and operant conditioning and apply these concepts.6. Identify common cognitive distortions and describe their influence on thinking and behavior.7. Compare major personality theories including psychodynamic, humanistic, trait, and cognitive perspectives.8. Identify symptoms and diagnostic features of major psychological disorders.9.
